Welcome to the Bushcraft
Educational Society
This non-profit making Society has been formed by bushcraft
enthusiasts, who can see the natural resource of the bushcrafters slowly but
surely disappearing from our countryside.
With this is mind, we formed this Society to secure
woodlands now and for the future to allow bushcraft and survival skills to live
on, and not be forgotten by the generations to come. At present, we have
acquired a small wood in the North East of England and we are continuing to
pursue and negotiate other opportunities.
This project will be run by volunteers and funds raised to
manage the land we have to date, and hopefully secure the funds to purchase land
of our own that can be preserved for and passed on to future generations of
bushcrafters.
Members will have the opportunity to use the land to
practice their own skills and also to join organised group meets, where skills
will be shared and lessons learned.
The following pages will give you a
taste of what bushcraft is about, and the type of activities you can expect to
be involved in. Please get in touch if you are interested in learning
more.
Our
Discussion Forum will have up to date news on how the project is going.
Please come along and introduce yourself and see how we are doing.
If you have any specific skills that you think can benefit
other members, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
